Bible Prophecies

EGYPT

1.  Prophecies concerning Egypt from the book of ISAIAH ...

   "The burden against EGYPT.

     Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud,

     And will come into Egypt;

     The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence,

     And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

     I (God) will set Egyptians against Egyptians;

     Everyone will fight against his brother,

     And everyone against his neighbor,

     City against city, kingdom against kingdom.

     The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;

     I will destroy their counsel,

     And they will consult the idols and the charmers,

     The mediums and the sorcerers.

     And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand of a cruel master,

     And a fierce king will rule over them, says the Lord, the LORD of hosts.

     The waters will fail from the sea,

     And the river will be wasted and dried up.

     The rivers will turn foul;

     The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up;

     The reeds and rushes will wither ..."

     (Isaiah 19:1-6)

These prophecies concerning Egypt continue into the time of the coming "Apocalypse," Armageddon,  and Messiah's return ...

   "IN THAT DAY        (Prophecies: The coming 'Apocalypse' and Armageddon)

     Egypt will be like women,

     and will be afraid and fear

     BECAUSE of the waving of the hand of the LORD of Armies (Hosts),

     which He waves over it.

     And the land of Judah (includes Gaza)    (Bible prophecies also link GAZA to the "Apocalypse")

     will be a terror to Egypt;    (Much of the land of Judah today is controlled by Iran's "Hamas")

     everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself,

     because of the counsel of the LORD of Armies (Hosts)

     which He (God) has determined against it.

     In that Day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan

     and swear by the LORD of Armies (Hosts);

     one will be called the City of Destruction.

     In that Day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt,

     and a pillar to the LORD at its border.

     And it will be for a sign and for a witness

     to the LORD of Armies (Hosts) in the land of Egypt;

     for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors,

     and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One,

     and He will deliver them.

     Then the LORD will be known to Egypt,

     and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that Day,

     and will make sacrifice and offering;

     yes, they will make a vow to the LORD and perform it.

     And the LORD will STRIKE Egypt,   (Egypt has great judgment and "cursings" ahead ...)

     He will strike AND heal it;

     they will RETURN to the LORD,

     and He will be entreated by them and heal them.   (Afterwards ... Egypt has great "blessings" ahead)

     In that Day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria,

     and the Assyrian will come into Egypt

     and the Egyptian into Assyria,

     and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.

     In that Day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria --

     a BLESSING in the midst of the land,

     whom the LORD of Armies (Hosts) shall bless, saying,

   "Blessed is EGYPT My (God's) people,

     and ASSYRIA the work of My hands,       (Prophecies:  IRAQ also has future "Cursings" and "Blessings")

     AND ISRAEL MY INHERITANCE."

     (Isaiah 19:16-27)          (Prophecies of Messiah's Return ...)

2.  Prophecies concerning Egypt from the book of DANIEL ...

In the book of Daniel God gives us a future glimpse of Egypt during the time of the coming Antichrist, the coming “Apocalypse” (the Great Tribulation), Armageddon, and Messiah’s Return.  In these verses Egypt is referred to as “the king of the South” and the Antichrist is referred to as the king who “shall do according to his own will” (the “willful king”) which is just one of many names he has been given in both the Old (Tanakh) and New Testaments (Covenants).

Egypt ... the coming Antichrist ... Armageddon ... and Messiah's Return . . .

    "Then the king (the coming Antichrist) shall do according to his own will:

     he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god,      (Prophecies:  The coming Antichrist)

     shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods,

     and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished;

     for what has been determined shall be done.

     He shall regard neither the God of his fathers

     nor the desire of women,

     nor regard any god;

     for he shall exalt himself above them all.

     But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses;

     and a god which his fathers did not know

     he shall honor with gold and silver,

     with precious stones and pleasant things.

     Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses

     with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge,

     and advance its glory;

     and he shall cause them to rule over many,

     and divide the Land for gain.

     At the time of the end

     the king of the South (Egypt) shall attack him;

     and the king of the North shall come against him

     like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships;

     and he shall enter the countries,

     overwhelm them, and pass through.

     He shall also enter the Glorious Land,

     and many countries shall be overthrown;

     but these shall escape from his hand:

     Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. (Edom, Moab, and Ammon are modern day Jordan)

     He shall stretch out his hand against the countries,

     and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

     He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver,

     and over all the precious things of Egypt;

     also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels.

     But news from the east and the north shall trouble him;

     therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many.

     And he shall plant the tents of his palace

     between the seas and the glorious Holy mountain (Jerusalem);  (Armageddon ... in Israel)

     yet he shall come to his end,       (Prophecies of Messiah's Return ...)

     and no one will help him.”

     (Daniel 11:36-45)

NOTE:  Egypt (also called "Mizraim" in the Bible) does NOT appear to be listed among the Russia-Iran-Turkey-Armenia-Sudan-Libya (Northern Africa) led coalition of nations who will invade Israel in Ezekiel 38-39 ... though (like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait ... "Sheba and Dedan") Egypt will do nothing to help Israel or to stop the invasion).  Yet, there are significant prophetic events concerning Egypt which are still future according to Bible prophecy ...  (Prophecies:  Russia. Iran, Turkey, and allies will go to war ... and will invade Israel)

Have a hard time believing in God?  Just watch the news.   The above verses are clear.   God says He is the one doing all this to "test" the world in order to see who are really His ... and then to judge all those who oppose Him and reject His Word  . . .

Please remember . . .

The Kingdom of Heaven is available to every man, woman, boy, and girl in this world, no matter who they are, where they live, or what they have done.  It is freely offered to any and all who will receive it.  Simply learn of Jesus (Yeshua), the promised Messiah, invite Him into your life as Lord, believe He died on the Cross for all of your sins and rose from the grave (proving there is a Kingdom of Heaven ... and a coming resurrection for both those who are going to Heaven and for those who are going to Hell).  Learn of Him and believe in Him . . . for He was the only one who has ever loved you enough to substitute Himself for you on the Cross (which represents Hell).  He shed His blood, suffered, and died on the Cross to save you from your sins and from the utter darkness, aloneness, and torment of Hell, if you will accept it, believe it, and trust in it.  That is why Jesus is called Savior.  He now lovingly and graciously offers you life in Heaven (and we are warned it is a "take it or leave it" proposition.)  We have to consciously receive it and accept it in faith.  If you sincerely admit you have sinned (and need a Savior to get into Heaven) and ask Jesus (Yeshua) to come into your life while fully trusting in Him alone to save you from your sins ... and turn back to God while honestly trying to stop doing (and saying) those things God says are wrong, you will go to Heaven ... and with open arms and tears of joy He will receive all who will come to Him in faith and in love ... It's God's Promise!!!

The only unpardonable sin is to reject (or ignore as a common and unclean thing) God's love and His free offer of eternal (and awesomely beautiful and exciting) life in the Kingdom of Heaven by rejecting His Son ... Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) ... who stepped forth from Eternity ("from of old, from everlasting"... see Micah 5:2) ... not to condemn the sinner, but to save the sinner (from the torment of Hell) and who willingly and lovingly shed His blood and bore all of our sins and guilt on the Cross so we can be "washed clean" and forgiven of all our sins.  The Bible also warns there will be no peace in our hearts until we make peace with God through His Son, Jesus (Yeshua), the promised Messiah.       (God's Promise ...)
